About Us
LittleSwans Rugby is the perfect place for young players to discover the joys of sport. Our sessions are designed to be fun, engaging and educational. Initially, LittleSwans Rugby only coached Rugby, after popular demand we branched out to coaching a wide array of sports within our blocks of sessions, whilst still including non-contact rugby! Making our fun sessions include more sports has allowed us to continue to grow and instill a love for sport in so many little ones. You asked, we listened... Little Swans Sports was born!
Our Vision
Growing up in England, our founder, Dan, was immersed in a sporting culture from a young age, playing rugby and soccer at one of the most prestigious rugby schools in the country. At LittleSwans Rugby, we embrace this culture and are passionate about providing children with a fun and engaging introduction to rugby.
Our fun sessions teach children the basic skills of many sports including; soccer, dodgeball, flag football, basketball, volleyball, non-contact rugby, kickball and so much more! While playing we always reinforce promoting teamwork and fair play. We believe that through sport, children can learn valuable life skills that will benefit them both on and off the field.
We want to get as many children enjoying sport as possible, whilst truly aligning with our Core Values.
Our Coaches
Our coaches are all experienced coaches who are dedicated to providing high-quality coaching to children of all ages and abilities. They are certified in coaching and have undergone thorough background checks to ensure the safety of all our players.
All sessions and lesson plans will be overseen by our Founder Dan Swan, who has an extensive background in multiple sports and has played throughout school and University in England. Dan brings a wealth of experience in delivering expert one-on-one coaching to aspiring players and complete newcomers to sport alike.
LittleSwans Rugby prides itself in adopting a coaching philosophy which revolves around fostering a supportive and encouraging environment where children can be confident and reach their full potential.
Our Core Values
Our core values underpin every session we deliver. Whilst we design sessions to provide children with a safe and engaging environment to learn and develop their sporting skills, we believe personal development is just as important.
Enjoyment
We want as many children as possible to play and enjoy sport as possible. Every session will be centered around having fun and will be designed to encourage players to enjoy training and playing with their friends.
Teamwork
All new participants will be welcomed and included from the outset. Social development, especially in the younger age groups, is just as important as the sport itself. As a result, many activities will be focused on team games and selflessness: emphasizing working for the team, not as an individual
Respect
Mutual respect forms the basis of sport. We must earn the respect of others in the way we behave. Whether it is respecting the coaches and accept their decisions or respecting other participants, a focus will always be on consideration and respect in every session.
Discipline
Strong discipline underpins any sport from the highest level to introductory sessions. It is crucial obey the rules and play fairly. We want each session to be fun and engaging for every child, maintaining discipline is important so each session can be enjoyed to maximum
Sportsmanship
Coaches will encourage fair play both on and off the pitch and are generous in victory and dignified in defeat. Some games will be played to win but it is important that winning is not at all costs and recognise both endeavour and achievement.
